I have a few offensive questions about Harry - in honor of the release of the 7th book:
Does Rowling donate ANY of her money?
Do people realize it's ridiculous that they buy multiple copies of a $20 book because they "cant wait" to read it?
Do people realize they could donate that money to people who cant buy a meal?
I mean, it's great that people want to read - really, im all for that. But, why?
And then they cant even wait to get home? they have to read it on the floor of the store? those floors are NASTY let me tell you...
How much money are the book stores spending to be open in the middle of the night? Are they donating anything? Damn we're selfish fuckers.

Grandma has had this argument with someone else who thinks that the publishing industry has a right to exist. At least if Harry is printed on only recycled paper it would help. I guess a lot of people eat because of the book...booksellers, publishers, printers, pr people, accountants, secretaries...etc. LIBRARIES RULE!
