Welcome to California
I think all the people who read my blog these days are people who are in fairly regular contact with me. But for an update for those who secretly read this....
My computer died the last month I was in Israel. It was a bittersweet last few weeks. Filled with lots of laughing and the occasional (?) tear.
I used Rescue Remedy on Asher and flew him 'cross the ocean to New York. We spent a marvelous 2 weeks at my parent's house where he: chewed through a wire, ate rocks, ate a stick of butter....and well, made us very welcome. He also had an amazing playdate with two other dogs and they did a conga hump line.
3100 miles, a couple of cups, some Taco Bell, and very few pit stops, Sharon and I arrived in LA after just short of 4 days of driving. Asher loved it...so did we. we listened to some books, listened to music, stared out into the vast emptiness of Kansas, and bothered Asher because he was constantly asleep (he, sadly, had no part in the driving)
heather had already been here for a couple of weeks so she had gotten somewhat settled. Sharon, Kim, and heather spent two days getting more furniture and stuff for me, while I was at a retreat with my new classmates.
Everyone seems nice - lots of new faces, old faces...
Classes are good so far.
There were requests for me to give a "tour" of my apartment...so this is my attempt at it. Lots of pictures to try to help my mother and emily understand how it works. And of course YOU! I tried to draw a sketch of it for Karen and she said she was confused that Asher's crate looked the same size as my bed...oops.
And so, here it is - The official tour of Apartment Pie (314). My numbers may be off - but hopefully im somewhat right. most are self explanatory...
